Job Overview

A law firm seeks a licensed Associate Attorney with over two years of experience in Professional Liability for its Chicago, Illinois office. The role involves handling cases primarily in Cook County, with some responsibilities extending to DuPage and other collar counties.

Duties

• Conduct thorough research, analysis, and interpretation of legal sources.
• Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception to resolution.
• Monitor case files to ensure compliance with deadlines.
• Investigate facts and legal issues to develop appropriate defenses and strategies.
• Assist with document review and analysis.
• Conduct depositions and appear regularly in court.
• Support trial preparation and participate in trials of professional liability cases.
• Adhere to and follow client guidelines meticulously.
• Communicate effectively and report appropriately to clients.

Requirements

• Good standing with the Illinois bar.
• Strong organization and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Deposition experience preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
