A law firm seeks a litigation attorney to join its banking and finance group in Cedar Rapids, IA. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting financial institutions with commercial loan workouts, including litigation and drafting related documentation.

Duties

• Assist financial institutions with commercial loan workouts.
• Draft forbearance agreements and loan restructuring documents.
• Prepare motions and manage discovery processes.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Collaborate with lenders and other counsel independently.

Requirements

• Strong academic background.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Ability to obtain admission in the State of Iowa promptly.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active attorney license.
