Transactional Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an entry to mid-level transactional associate with at least two years of commercial real estate finance transactions and business corporate experience to join their New Orleans, LA office. The ideal candidate will handle general corporate transactional matters, land acquisitions, title due diligence, closings, and related real estate matters within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Duties

• Review title examinations to identify defects.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, deeds, easements, options, and closing documents.
• Draft and approve title endorsements.
• Engage in due diligence related to real estate transactions.
• Manage deals from agreement to closing, including tracking critical dates and preparing closing documents.
• Draft and review complex operating agreements.
• Draft and negotiate loan documents.
• Draft and negotiate various business transactions, including corporate, LLC, and partnership formations.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active and in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar.
• At least two years of commercial real estate and corporate law experience.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education
