Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Associate in Miami, Florida. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in bankruptcy law, with a preference for those who have completed a judicial clerkship. Admission to The Florida Bar is required.

Duties

  • Manage Chapter 11 business bankruptcies and creditors' rights litigation.
  • Handle assignments for the benefit of creditors and represent fiduciaries.
  • Engage in complex commercial and bankruptcy litigation, including avoidance actions.
  • Conduct court appearances, motions, depositions, mediations, and negotiations.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in bankruptcy law.
  • Admission to The Florida Bar.
  • Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Florida.

Skills

  • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects across different offices autonomously.
  • Keen attention to detail.
