Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources practice in Helena, Montana. The successful candidate will work on high-stakes litigation involving critical mineral and energy projects, collaborating with experienced partners and engaging with federal and state agencies.

Duties

• Collaborate with partners on complex litigation matters.
• Engage with federal and state regulatory agencies.
• Handle water rights and permitting reviews.
• Defend litigation on federal and state permits.

Requirements

• 3-7 years of environmental law or general litigation experience.
• Interest in mining and water rights preferred.
• Administrative litigation and regulatory experience are a plus.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to excel under pressure and meet demanding schedules.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the state of Montana or eligibility to waive in.
