Job Overview

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Real Estate Finance Practice Group. This role involves handling complex commercial real estate finance transactions and offers opportunities for direct client interaction and professional growth.

Location

  • Los Angeles, CA

Duties

  • Manage loan origination for structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity.
  • Handle asset management and workout matters.
  • Lead transactions from inception through closing and post-closing stages.
  • Perform secondary market repurchase facility work and execute various exit strategies.
  • Collaborate with teams to support and expand a national real estate finance practice.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate finance law.
  • Prior experience in large law firm settings preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage transactions independently.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active bar membership in the jurisdiction where the candidate intends to practice.

Skills

  • Proficiency in commercial real estate finance, including loan structuring and asset management.
  • Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to contribute to a collaborative work environment.
