Job Overview

A law firm seeks a junior to mid-level associate with 3-5 years of regulatory experience in the online or land-based gaming space to join their practice in Boston, MA. The role involves supporting partners and senior attorneys in providing regulatory and compliance advice to leading gaming operators, technology providers, and innovators.

Duties

• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on state and federal gaming laws, regulations, and enforcement trends.
• Review and analyze proposed product features and business models for compliance with relevant laws.
• Engage with new and emerging verticals in adjacent or related markets.
• Assist in preparing regulatory filings and supporting documentation for client licensing and approval processes.
• Support senior attorneys in advising clients on multistate operational strategies and jurisdictional issues.
• Collaborate with colleagues in other practice groups on cross-disciplinary matters.
• Engage in client meetings, calls, and pitches.

Requirements

• Three to five years of experience in gaming, sports wagering, iGaming, fantasy sports, or related fields.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly motivated, eager to learn, proactive, communicative, and creative.
• Membership in the State Bar of the office where you wish to be based (or ability to become admitted promptly).

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

• Membership in the State Bar.
