Job Overview

A law firm seeks a driven Civil Litigation Attorney in Dayton, Ohio. This partner-track position offers the opportunity to manage complex real estate, consumer protection, and business litigation cases. The role involves working with experienced trial attorneys in a collaborative environment, with a focus on strategic thinking and client management.

Duties

  • Serve as lead trial counsel in complex civil litigation in state and federal courts.
  • Draft and finalize legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
  • Develop case strategies based on client needs and financial capacity.
  • Communicate effectively with clients about litigation risks and goals.
  • Collaborate with partners and supervise junior associates.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of civil litigation experience in state and/or federal courts.
  • Ohio Bar license in good standing.
  • Strong writing and advocacy skills with a proven record in motion practice and trial work.
  • Ability to manage complex cases and client relationships independently.
  • Interest in leadership and long-term growth within the firm.
  • Experience managing and resolving discovery issues.
  • Prior experience mentoring or supervising junior attorneys is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
