Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Tax, Trust, and Estate Attorney to join their practice in Reno, Nevada. This position involves advising on complex estate planning and wealth transfer strategies for high-net-worth clients. Duties

  • Design and implement comprehensive estate plans, including various trusts and specialized vehicles.
  • Collaborate in the formation and operation of family trust companies.
  • Provide expert tax advice to minimize exposure for high-net-worth clients.
  • Represent clients in IRS audits and probate proceedings.
  • Advise on asset protection and business succession planning.
  • Assist in trust and estate administration and litigation.
  • Draft and negotiate sophisticated agreements.
  • Monitor and interpret evolving tax laws to counsel clients.
  • Participate in business development and networking activities.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and active Nevada State Bar membership.
  • LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning preferred; willingness to obtain if not held.
  • Minimum 4 years of post-J.D. experience in tax, trust, and estate law.
  • Success in representing high-net-worth individuals in planning matters.
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Nevada-specific planning preferred.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Nevada State Bar.
