Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Business Litigation Attorney in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation experience, exceptional legal writing and analytical skills, and the ability to independently manage complex business disputes from inception through trial.

Duties

  • Provide high-level legal advice and analysis in complex litigation matters.
  • Offer strategic input on case development, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Advise on declaratory judgment actions in state and federal courts.
  • Handle matters involving declaratory relief in various business-related litigation.
  • Manage cases from pre-litigation through trial.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda.
  • Conduct legal research and evaluate evidence and legal theories.
  • Conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and court appearances.
  • Serve as a trusted legal advisor to firm clients.
  • Collaborate with partners and legal staff to ensure high-quality legal services.
  • Mentor junior attorneys and support team development.
  • Ensure all legal actions align with ethical obligations and procedural requirements.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Texas Bar license preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in business or commercial litigation.
  • Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures in state and federal courts.
  • Experience handling breach of contract, shareholder disputes, partnership disputes, business torts, tortious interference, insurance disputes, and declaratory judgment actions.
  • Trial preparation and courtroom experience preferred.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Texas Bar license preferred.
