Job Overview

A law firm seeks an admitted attorney for an Associate Criminal Defense Attorney position in San Francisco, CA. This role offers a dedicated attorney the chance to gain valuable experience and advance their career within an established firm. The Associate Attorney will manage their caseload, engage with clients, and collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants.

Duties

  • Advise clients on legal rights and draft legal documents related to their cases.
  • Attend pretrial hearings and advise clients on strategies post-hearing.
  • Manage court appearances, trials, and draft motions.
  • Interview witnesses and conduct legal research.
  • Analyze case outcomes using legal precedents.
  • Provide legal analysis to determine case benefits.
  • Gather additional evidence to support client cases.
  • Prepare clients for depositions and gather information from witnesses and experts.

Requirements

  • Experience with complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels.
  • Team player open to collaboration and strategizing.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in California.

Skills

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
