Patent Attorney (Chemistry)

Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Patent Attorney with at least 2 years of experience to join its patent prosecution practice in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry or a related field and will support patent application processes and due diligence.

Duties

• Draft and prosecute patent applications through U.S. and international patent offices.
• Support due diligence activities for patent-related matters.
• Manage multiple assignments from various partners and clients.

Requirements

• Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
• Patent Bar eligible and, if applicable, licensed to practice law in the respective state.
• Strong time management and deadline management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Master's Degree or Doctor of Philosophy in chemistry, organic chemistry, applied chemistry, polymer science, polymer engineering, biochemistry, or a related field.

Certifications

• Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
