Job Overview:

A leading law firm is currently seeking highly qualified law school graduates and judicial clerks for associate positions across its U.S. offices. Lateral candidates with commercial litigation experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates should have hands-on experience with discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting pleadings, and managing document review. Location:

Duties:

  • Oversee discovery processes, including the review and production of documents.
  • Take and defend depositions in commercial litigation cases.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including legal research and case strategy development.
  • Participate in hearings, motions, and case management conferences.
  • Provide comprehensive support throughout all phases of litigation, from pre-trial to post-trial.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and implement litigation strategies.

Requirements:

  • Experience in commercial litigation, including discovery, depositions, and document review.
  • In-court experience is preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional academic credentials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bar admission in the jurisdiction of the office of interest or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar admission in the jurisdiction of the office of interest (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly).

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with discovery and document review processes.
  • Proficient in taking and defending depositions.
  • Exceptional legal research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • In-court experience is a plus.
