Mid-Level Litigation Attorney - Trial and Defense

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Litigation Attorney in Miami to join their team focused on defending complex product liability cases and commercial disputes. The role involves working with product manufacturers, suppliers, and insurers on various liability matters.

Duties

• Take depositions, attend hearings, and mediations as required.
• Draft pleadings and briefs.
• Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis.
• Draft interrogatories and document demands.
• Review document collections in preparation for litigation.
• Submit filings to the court.

Requirements

• Admission to practice in Florida and New York is required.
• 2-5 years of law firm experience required.
• Commercial litigation experience is preferred but not required.
• Environmental/toxic tort experience is preferred but not required.
• Courtroom experience including motions is preferred but not required.

Education

• J.D./LLM

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in Florida and New York
