A law firm seeks a Multi-State Associate Attorney for a remote, full-time position based in Worcester, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will be actively licensed in two or more states, including CA, FL, MA, NJ, OH, PA, SC, TN, VA, or WA, with other active licensure considered. Duties

  • Independently manage cases from intake through resolution.
  • Develop and execute legal strategies based on factual investigation and legal analysis.
  • Maintain substantive communications with courts, administrative agencies, clients, and opposing counsel.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals.
  • Appear at hearings and trials as necessary.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 3 years of substantive legal experience.
  • Active licensure in two or more listed states.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team.
  • High level of organization, time management, and personal accountability.
  • Ability to travel for in-person hearings and firm events.

Education

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active licensure in two or more listed states.

Skills

  • Proficiency with Mac/Apple operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with timekeeping and case management software.
  • Familiarity with legal research applications.
