Partner-level Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks a seasoned legal professional to join its ranks as a partner-level litigation counsel focusing on insurance-related matters. This opportunity is ideal for a driven and experienced advocate who excels in high-stakes, defense-side disputes involving transportation claims and commercial premises matters. The position offers full-time remote flexibility, allowing the successful candidate to operate from anywhere while remaining closely connected to a team that values professionalism, autonomy, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex defense cases involving commercial transportation and property liability.

• Handle all stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, mediation, trial preparation, and, when necessary, courtroom representation.

• Advise clients and carriers with strategic insights to resolve disputes effectively and efficiently.

• Collaborate with junior attorneys and legal staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and oversight on case strategies and deliverables.

• Maintain timely and accurate billing records, consistently meeting or exceeding a monthly expectation of 160 billed hours.

• Engage in virtual team collaboration and utilize digital platforms to manage caseloads from a remote environment.

Required Credentials & Background

• An active license to practice law in both Oklahoma and Texas is non-negotiable.

• A minimum of eight (8) years of post-bar litigation experience, with an emphasis on insurance-focused defense work.

• Demonstrated success handling matters related to trucking/transportation incidents and premises liability.

• Established track record of independently managing a litigation docket with minimal oversight.

• Experience working within remote legal environments or managing dispersed teams is preferred.
