Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Greenbelt, MD, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Workers’ Compensation Associate Attorney. This role is ideal for a legal professional with a background in workers’ compensation litigation who can independently manage a caseload while collaborating in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of workers’ compensation matters, including case intake, discovery, depositions, hearings, and appeals

  • Advocate effectively on behalf of clients before administrative agencies and courts in Maryland and Washington, D.C.

  • Conduct legal research and prepare thorough case evaluations, briefs, and memoranda

  • Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, and insurance carriers

  • Manage deadlines and maintain detailed case records using legal practice management systems

  • Collaborate with internal legal teams to formulate case strategies

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in both Maryland and Washington, D.C.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience handling workers’ compensation claims
