Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Energy Transactions Attorney in Portland, OR. This role involves managing complex renewable energy transactions, focusing on project development, EPC agreements, supply agreements, and other service contracts.

Duties

  • Lead negotiation and drafting of EPC, BOP, equipment supply, and O&M agreements.
  • Manage the full life cycle of development and construction transactions.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary due diligence for financings and purchase/sale transactions.
  • Advise on international trade restraints affecting procurement.
  • Collaborate with clients to craft practical solutions and mentor junior lawyers.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in renewable energy-focused project development transactions.
  • Experience negotiating and drafting renewable energy project development agreements.
  • Experience conducting due diligence of renewable energy project-related documents.
  • Experience advising on international trade restraints and their impact on procurement.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Engagement in business development and professional organizations.

Education

  • JD from an accredited university.

Certifications

  • Active membership or commitment to applying for the California, District of Columbia, Minnesota, Oregon, or Washington state bars.
