Job Overview
A law firm seeks a highly motivated mid to senior-level associate to join its Business and Commercial Disputes team in Dallas. This role involves working on complex litigation matters for a diverse client base across various industries.

Duties

  • Manage complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts from inception to resolution.
  • Draft and argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions.
  • Conduct and defend depositions, including those of fact and expert witnesses.
  • Lead discovery strategy, including document production and e-discovery coordination.
  • Participate in trial preparation and courtroom advocacy.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on dispute risks and litigation exposure.
  • Work directly with clients to develop business-oriented solutions.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates and collaborate with cross-office teams.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
  • Admission to the Texas Bar or eligibility for prompt admission.
  • 4-7 years of experience in complex commercial litigation.
  • Experience with a broad range of commercial disputes.
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Texas Bar.

Skills

  • Strong case management skills.
  • Experience in all phases of litigation.
  • Ability to assume significant client responsibility.
