Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm seeks a dedicated and skilled Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team in Texas. This position provides an excellent opportunity for an associate with civil defense litigation experience to handle a variety of complex legal matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing cases related to personal injury defense, transportation, insurance, commercial disputes, property owners’ associations, and employment issues. Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload of civil defense litigation matters, including personal injury defense, insurance, and commercial disputes.
• Handle written discovery, motions, hearings, and depositions in a timely and efficient manner.
• Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and responses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
• Represent clients in various legal proceedings, including hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with colleagues and senior attorneys to develop case strategies and approaches.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders involved in legal matters.
• Manage case deadlines and ensure all documents are filed by applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice law in Texas and good standing.
• 2-5 years of experience in civil defense litigation, with a focus on personal injury defense, transportation, insurance, or commercial disputes.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal matters with a strong attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong research and analytical abilities, with the capability to apply legal principles to real-world situations.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Collaborative team player who works well in a professional environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active and good-standing membership with the State Bar of Texas.

• Proven experience in civil defense litigation, particularly in personal injury, insurance, and commercial disputes.
