Duties

  • Represent policyholders in insurance coverage disputes and recovery matters

  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents
  • Conduct legal research related to insurance law and coverage issues
  • Participate in discovery, including document review and depositions
  • Assist in negotiations, mediations, and other dispute resolution proceedings
  • Collaborate with litigation teams on case strategy and client representation
  • Manage multiple cases and maintain communication with clients regarding case developments

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in insurance policyholder work, or relevant experience combined with a federal judicial clerkship
  • Experience working in a law firm environment, handling litigation matters
  • Strong academic credentials from a reputable law school
  • Ability to manage litigation responsibilities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in insurance coverage litigation and policyholder representation

Education and Certifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Admission to practice law in California or eligibility for admission
