Mid-level Finance Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

Duties:

• Assist in structuring and negotiating asset-based lending transactions
• Advise on tech lending, acquisition financings, and venture lending
• Draft and review financing documents
• Provide legal counsel to clients on a wide range of finance-related issues
• Collaborate with senior associates and partners on complex deals
• Maintain client relationships and manage project timelines
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda
• Support business development and client outreach activities

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of transactional finance experience
• Strong academic credentials
• Excellent organizational, writing, and analytical skills
• Active membership in the California Bar
• Prior experience in asset-based lending, tech lending, and venture lending is preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active member of the California State Bar (or eligibility to become a member)

You're destined for success and plenty of it at this awesome L.A. law firm. We cannot figure out why there is so much China scattered throughout this office. The last time we were by their offices, we felt like we should have wired Balducci's to send over a banquet so we could pull that China down from all the bookcases and have a delicious meal. In any event, we like the attorneys here. There is a real folksy feel to them, they are very efficient and all have well-rounded personalities (for the most part). This place knows it's a law firm and the attorneys all take their work and experience there pretty seriously. This is a branch office of a large international law firm. The attorneys working here all seem to give off the air, and have the confidence, that they are working as part of a law firm of substance that is destined for great things. Attorneys we have practiced with from this firm all impressed us when we were in private practice because they appear to have a very good command of their work and quickly assume a leadership role in the cases they are working on. These are the types of lawyers who frequently give co-counsel and opposing counsel notes and little articles about an area of law they enjoy. These are also attorneys who somehow consistently manage to get themseleves involved in the community in many forms. This is a great law firm.
