Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney II in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for consumer rights and a minimum of three years of litigation experience. This role offers the opportunity to engage in various phases of litigation, including trial preparation, and to work closely with experienced attorneys.

Duties

  • Engage in direct interaction and training with partners and senior attorneys.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced lawyers.
  • Draft and review written discovery and document productions.
  • Participate in e-discovery and draft motions related to discovery disputes.
  • Prepare for and participate in oral arguments and case management conferences.
  • Prepare clients for depositions and defend consumer client depositions.
  • Depose percipient and corporate representative witnesses.
  • Prepare expert witnesses and attend expert depositions.
  • Attend vehicle inspections with expert witnesses.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • California Bar license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience as a California licensed attorney.
  • Willingness to learn and apply technology solutions in a paperless environment.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Westlaw, and Outlook.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel within California for court appearances and depositions.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds.

Education

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • California Bar license in good standing.

Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Westlaw, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
