Job Overview

A law firm seeks a litigation associate to join its office in Fulton, Maryland. This position offers the opportunity to engage in a sophisticated practice and take on significant roles in complex litigation processes. Candidates with experience in general liability, professional liability, products liability, construction litigation, real estate, mass torts, and/or class actions are encouraged to apply.

Duties

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other documents.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Draft and answer discovery requests.
  • Prepare for and assist in trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Travel locally for court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, site inspections, and depositions.

Requirements

  • Experience with state and federal courts preferred.
  • Admission to the state bar of Maryland is required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Maryland.

Skills
