Commercial Litigation Attorney (First-Chair Jury Trial)

Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Commercial Litigation Attorney with significant first-chair jury trial experience to join their Litigation practice in Plantation, FL. The role involves handling complex commercial litigation matters, including business disputes, real estate litigation, and trust and estate disputes.

Duties

• Serve as first-chair counsel in complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts.
• Independently manage cases from inception through trial, including strategy, pleadings, discovery, and motion practice.
• Conduct jury trials, including voir dire, opening statements, witness examinations, and closing arguments.
• Advise clients on litigation strategy, risk assessment, and dispute resolution options.
• Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
• Contribute to client development and maintain existing client relationships.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• License to practice law in good standing in Florida.
• Significant experience in commercial litigation with demonstrated first-chair jury trial experience.
• Proven ability to independently manage and fully prepare cases for trial.
• Experience handling complex business, contract, real estate, probate, or similar commercial disputes.
• Portable book of business strongly preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• License to practice law in good standing in Florida.
