Associate Attorney - Community Association Law

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Coral Gables, FL, to join its Community Association practice group. The role involves representing condominium and homeowner associations in governance, enforcement, and construction/contract-related disputes, including litigation.

Duties

• Draft and revise contracts, amendments, and association-related legal documents.
• Prepare legal opinions and board meeting materials.
• Attend and advise at association meetings.
• Support litigation involving covenant enforcement, construction defects, turnover issues, and Chapter 558 pre-suit claims.
• Collaborate with clients and senior attorneys on complex legal matters.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school and active Florida Bar membership.
• Demonstrated interest in condominium, real estate, or construction law.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Prior experience working with condominium or homeowner associations is required.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines.

Education

• JD from an accredited law school.

• Active Florida Bar membership.

Skills

• Effective communication abilities.
• Familiarity with NetDocuments, AIM, LexisNexis, Westlaw, and iCONECT preferred but not required.
