Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Business Litigation Attorney to join their team in Plano, Texas. This position is ideal for a skilled litigator with a strong background in business litigation, including declaratory judgment actions, breach of contract, tortious interference, and other commercial disputes.

Duties

• Provide high-level legal advice and analysis in complex litigation matters.
• Offer strategic input on case development, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Advise on declaratory judgment actions in state and federal courts.
• Handle matters involving declaratory relief in business-related litigation.
• Draft and review declaratory pleadings and develop litigation strategies.
• Support trial teams with legal research and drafting dispositive motions.
• Serve as a key legal advisor to clients in complex or high-stakes matters.
• Mentor and collaborate with partners to ensure high-quality legal services.
• Ensure compliance with ethical rules and procedural requirements.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active Texas bar license.
• 7+ years of litigation experience, preferably in business/commercial matters.
• Proven experience handling declaratory actions and related civil claims.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong strategic thinker with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Labor & Employment experience is a plus.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
