Trial Attorney Civil Litigation

A law firm seeks a highly skilled and experienced trial attorney to join its Fort Myers, Florida office. This role is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated legal professional to manage complex civil litigation cases, represent clients in trials, and contribute to the firm’s success in delivering exceptional legal services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trial advocacy, legal strategy, and case management.

Duties

• Represent clients in civil litigation cases, including trials, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Develop and execute comprehensive litigation strategies tailored to each case.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analyze case law to support client positions.
• Draft and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and trial briefs.
• Manage the discovery process, including depositions, interrogatories, and document review.
• Collaborate with clients, witnesses, and experts to prepare for trial.
• Negotiate settlements when appropriate and advocate for client interests in alternative dispute resolution forums.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to provide case updates and address concerns.

Requirements

• Admission to the Florida Bar and in good standing.
• Proven experience handling trials and courtroom advocacy.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
• Capacity to manage a high-volume caseload effectively and meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.
