Litigation Associate - Consumer Finance

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate to join its consumer finance litigation defense team in Los Angeles, California. The successful candidate will support the firm's efforts in defending clients across various lending sectors in state and federal courts.

Duties

• Defend clients in credit card, mortgage, and auto finance litigation.
• Handle cases involving the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
• Manage claims under the Truth in Lending Act and Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
• Address California consumer protection statutes, including the Rosenthal Act.
• Engage in consumer class action defense.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant litigation experience.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Ability to work at least 3 days in the office.
• Active membership in the California Bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• California Bar admission.

Skills

• Proficiency in legal research and writing.
