Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Rolla for a full-time position. This role involves supporting clients through the Social Security Disability process, preparing them for hearings, representing them before administrative law judges, and drafting appeals when necessary.

Duties

• Prepare clients for administrative hearings with professionalism and empathy.
• Represent clients during Social Security Disability hearings.
• Draft administrative appeals to the Appeals Council.
• Evaluate prospective clients to determine eligibility for representation.
• Maintain accurate records and manage deadlines using the firm's case management system.

Requirements

• Active law license in Missouri or Kansas, or ability to obtain one within one month of hire.
• Strong legal writing and research skills.
• Excellent organization and time management abilities.
• Ability to manage a high caseload with attention to detail.
• Experience with Social Security Disability law or appellate work is helpful but not required.
• 1 to 3 years of legal experience is preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Missouri or Kansas.
