A law firm seeks a seasoned Senior Attorney to join its Allen, TX office. In this role, you will oversee complex legal matters across a diverse client base, collaborating with a supportive team to achieve favourable outcomes. Duties

  • Lead and manage civil and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution

  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on risk assessment, legal strategy, and case planning

  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court documents

  • Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences

  • Supervise junior attorneys and paralegals, offering guidance on research, drafting, and procedural tasks

  • Conduct thorough legal and factual research using industry-standard tools

  • Negotiate contracts, settlements, and other agreements on behalf of clients

  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case developments, strategy adjustments, and billing

  • Develop and implement procedures to streamline case management and client intake processes

  • Mentor junior staff on legal writing, trial preparation, and courtroom etiquette

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing as a civil litigator or handling complex transactional matters

  • Active license to practice law in Texas; additional state admissions (e.g., Oklahoma, Louisiana) a plus

  • Proven track record of managing high-stakes cases or significant transactional deals independently

  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a fast-paced legal environment

  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving measurable results

  • Advanced proficiency in courtroom advocacy, negotiation, and client counseling

  • Aptitude for supervising and developing junior legal team members

  • Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and professional ethics

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas

  • Membership in the Texas Bar College or other professional legal associations (preferred, not required)

  • Superior written and oral communication skills, including persuasive drafting of motions and briefs

  • Expertise in civil procedure, evidence, and trial advocacy
