Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Texas, United States. The successful candidate will represent clients in pre-litigation issues, foreclosure actions, bankruptcy, evictions, and other litigation matters. They will collaborate with the team on internal case processing and ensure high-quality legal work.

Duties

  • Manage multiple pre-litigation issues, foreclosure actions, and bankruptcy cases.
  • Prepare letters, emails, foreclosure documents, pleadings, and motions.
  • Review and edit legal work product of department staff.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to non-attorney staff.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, and trials as required.
  • Conduct initial intake and strategy analysis of new cases.
  • Perform legal research applicable to assigned cases.
  • Record billable work accurately.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to clients.
  • Commit to continued education and learning.
  • Assist with tasks as assigned by Managing Attorney.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate and Texas State Bar license in good standing.
  • 5+ years of legal practice experience.
  • Experience with bankruptcy and foreclosure proceedings.
  • Proficiency in Westlaw and time-billing software.
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
