Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced estate planning, transactional, and probate attorney in El Dorado, KS. This role requires a self-starting lawyer capable of leading planning, administration, and transactional matters from start to finish. The ideal candidate will translate complex situations into clear decisions and documents, providing strategic guidance and delivering high-quality work.

Duties

  • Lead estate planning, administration, and transactional matters from intake to completion.
  • Design and draft trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and business succession plans.
  • Conduct client meetings and guide signings with clarity and compassion.
  • Manage probate processes, including filing and tracking deadlines.
  • Form LLCs, draft operating agreements, and handle business transactions.
  • Delegate tasks to paralegals and assistants, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Maintain and update templates, checklists, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Licensed in Kansas and in good standing.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in estate planning, probate, or transactional work.
  • Proven ability to lead client meetings and explain options clearly.
  • Proficiency with modern tech tools, including Smokeball and WealthCounsel.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Kansas.
