Duties

  • Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to deliver comprehensive estate planning solutions.
  • Draft and review legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laws.
  • Prepare and file various petitions and manage client matters through conclusion.
  • Conduct legal research to stay updated on estate planning laws and regulations.
  • Assist with trust and estate administration, including asset distribution and tax filings.
  • Develop estate plans tailored to clients' needs, considering tax implications and asset protection.
  • Conduct client meetings to assess estate planning requirements and offer advice.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in California and in good standing.
  • Knowledge of California estate planning laws and tax implications.
  • Experience in estate planning, including wills, trusts, and probate matters, preferred.
  • Conservatorship experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented and proficient in drafting legal documents.
  • Ability to handle multiple client matters and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • High level of professionalism and commitment to client service.
  • Ability to meet billable hour expectations.
  • Must work in-person at the Santa Barbara office.
