Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Innovation Attorney in Miami, FL, with the option for 100% remote work within the US. The role supports the firm's innovation efforts in enhancing legal service delivery through people, process, and technology, focusing on Litigation and Intellectual Property. The position collaborates across various offices and departments, reporting to the Managing Director of Practice Innovation.

Duties

  • Lead projects to streamline legal service delivery using available resources and technology.
  • Manage digitalization projects, including automation and data capture.
  • Support the firm's data strategy by tracking and monitoring practice content usage.
  • Integrate technology, including generative AI, into legal practices.
  • Serve as a product manager for select technologies, overseeing rollout and adoption.
  • Support large litigation teams with matter management workflow design.
  • Develop client-facing solutions to share matter metrics and data.
  • Create and maintain knowledge libraries and databases for knowledge sharing.
  • Evaluate legal service delivery efficiency and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Educate legal professionals on practice content and technology initiatives.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited institution and admission to practice in a US jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of four years of experience as a litigation or IP attorney in a large law firm.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle concrete variables.
  • Familiarity with legal technology and AI applications.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited university or college.
