Job Overview

Multiple defense-side litigation firms across the United States — including Am Law practices, national defense teams, and trial litigation boutiques — are actively seeking Product Liability Defense Attorneys with 1–10+ years of experience.
Manufacturers, distributors, insurers, and industrial companies are facing rising product liability claims, and firms are expanding their defense benches to manage complex, expert-heavy matters.

If you have experience in defense-side product liability or complex litigation, including:

  • Complex product liability defense

  • High-exposure consumer or industrial claims

  • Mass torts and multidistrict litigation (MDL)

  • Expert-heavy scientific and technical issues

  • Depositions, evidentiary motions, and trial preparation

  • Policyholder or risk-management counseling

…we want to speak with you.

Duties

  • Defend manufacturers, distributors, insurers, and corporate clients in product liability matters.

  • Manage MDL, mass tort, and coordinated litigation involving technical or scientific evidence.

  • Conduct depositions, prepare expert and fact witnesses, and draft dispositive motions.

  • Analyze product design, warnings, manufacturing processes, and causation issues.

  • Participate in trial preparation and, in some teams, early courtroom advocacy.

  • Advise clients on risk mitigation, regulatory concerns, and product-safety strategy.

Requirements

  • 1–10+ years of litigation experience, preferably in product liability defense or complex civil litigation.

  • Comfort working with scientific, medical, or engineering concepts.

  • Strong motion-practice, research, and advocacy skills.

  • Ability to manage active caseloads and tight litigation timelines.

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

  • Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Excellent writing, advocacy, and analytical abilities.

  • Ability to work with experts on scientific or technical issues.

  • Strong communication with corporate clients, insurers, and co-counsel.

  • Organizational strength and strong case-management skills.

  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and responsive.

Submit or update your resume today, and we will match you with the firms most likely to want your background.

Your information will not be forwarded to any employers at this time. A recruiter will contact you with more information once our internal review of your resume is completed.
