Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Private Wealth Services Associate for its Austin, Texas office. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients across various industries, providing sophisticated estate planning and wealth management services.

Duties

  • Design and draft complex estate planning documents, including revocable trust agreements and wealth transfer structures.
  • Transfer QSBS stock, business interests, and real estate, addressing entity structures, valuation, and tax implications.
  • Manage complex trust and estate administrations, including modifications and terminations.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on multijurisdictional estate planning considerations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four to eight years of experience in estate planning for high-net-worth individuals.
  • Proven track record in trust and estate administration and tax planning.
  • Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced law firm setting.
  • Good standing with the Texas Bar or eligibility for admission.

Education

  • Graduated from a top-tier law school or ranked in the top of their class.

Certifications

  • LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning preferred.

Skills

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.
  • Ability to supervise and mentor associates and paralegals.
  • Strong leadership ability.
