Job Overview

A law firm seeks a finance associate with a focus on fund finance and private credit transactions to join its Leveraged Finance subgroup in Dallas, TX. Candidates should have a minimum of four years of relevant experience in fund finance, private credit, leveraged finance, debt capital markets, and/or structured finance.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough and comprehensive legal research and analysis.
  • Draft well-written legal documents, including briefs and contracts.
  • Assist/manage complex cases/transactions from inception to resolution.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop case strategies.
  • Participate in high-level legal activities such as trials and negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations.
  • Engage in professional development and firm citizenship activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of leverage finance experience.
  • Experience with AmLaw 100 firm preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Education

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice in the state of Texas.

Skills
