Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Patent Associate with 3-6 years of experience for its Las Vegas, NV office. The ideal candidate will join a dynamic intellectual property team dedicated to providing innovative solutions and protecting clients' intellectual property rights.

Duties

• Collaborate with clients to develop and expand intellectual property portfolios.
• Interface with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements related to intellectual property.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in patent law.
• Admitted to the USPTO or eligible to take the Patent Bar.
• Excellent academic performance.
• Strong writing and analytical skills.
• Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Education

• JD required.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software, or Computer Science preferred.

Certifications

• USPTO admission or eligibility to take the Patent Bar.

Skills

• Experience with consumer electronics, software, including web-based services, full-stack development, generative AI, machine learning, data structures, data storage, and databases preferred.
