Duties

• Draft and oppose motions, including ex parte applications and motions for summary judgment.
• Collaborate with trial attorneys on motions in limine and case strategy.
• Argue motions and oppositions before judges.
• Conduct research and write on emerging legal issues.
• Engage in meet and confer sessions with defense counsel.
• Discuss case strategy with experts.

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
• Superior writing and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with the Code of Civil Procedure and Evidence Code.
• Ability to identify key facts and apply them to relevant case law.
• Proven track record with dispositive motions.
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to commute or relocate to Los Angeles, CA.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
