Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented attorney to manage a caseload of workers' compensation matters in Greenwood Village, CO. The candidate will handle cases from initial consultation through resolution, requiring strong litigation skills and a client-first mindset.

Duties

  • Manage a full caseload of workers' compensation claims.
  • Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and depositions.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and strategy.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research and case analysis.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance carriers.
  • Ensure compliance with Colorado Division of Workers' Compensation procedures.
  • Collaborate with staff, paralegals, and other attorneys.

Requirements

  • Active license to practice law in Colorado (required).
  • 2+ years of experience in workers' compensation or related litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of Colorado workers' compensation laws and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation and courtroom advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience representing injured workers (plaintiff side).
  • Trial or hearing experience before administrative law judges.
  • Bilingual (Spanish preferred but not required).

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Active Colorado Bar license.
