Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Associate Attorney in Dallas, TX, to represent mortgage lenders and investor clients in complex commercial and residential foreclosure, title disputes, and real estate litigation matters throughout Texas. This role involves handling both routine and contested matters, making court appearances, developing case strategies, drafting pleadings, and negotiating resolutions.

Duties

  • Manage a caseload of contested matters for residential and commercial mortgage lenders and investors.
  • Appear in court and argue motions for successful completion of foreclosure, eviction, title disputes, and HOA/COA disputes.
  • Communicate regularly with clients for updates and case resolution.
  • Analyze loan files, title reports, and other client documents.
  • Draft motions and prepare written discovery and responses.

Requirements

  • J.D. degree, licensed in Texas, and in good standing with the Texas Bar.
  • 6+ years of experience in Texas default servicing and foreclosure litigation.
  • Experience with non-judicial foreclosure, judicial foreclosure, and deceased debtor matters.
  • Knowledge of Texas Mortgage Foreclosure Law and Texas Code of Civil Procedure.
  • Previous experience with foreclosure litigation involving residential and commercial property.

Education

  • J.D. degree

Certifications

  • Licensed in Texas and in good standing with the Texas Bar
