Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly-qualified and motivated attorney to join its Health Care Alignment and Organizations practice group in Kansas City, MO. This role focuses on supporting health care clients with regulatory and compliance needs in various health care transactions.

Duties

  • Support health care transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
  • Analyze key health care issues impacting transactions, such as anti-kickback and Stark laws.
  • Coordinate regulatory notifications and filings.
  • Manage strategy and risk mitigation for regulatory and compliance issues.
  • Stay informed on evolving health care regulations.
  • Conduct legal due diligence and draft due diligence reports.
  • Assist with review and comment on purchase agreements and related documents.
  • Implement best practices for managing regulatory aspects of transactions.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in health care transactions.
  • Detailed knowledge of the health care industry and regulatory landscape.
  • Experience in home health, hospice, behavioral health, or hospitals is a plus.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Superior writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice.
