The role involves managing personal injury cases through all stages of litigation, from client engagement through trial. Location

Duties

  • Handle all aspects of litigation in personal injury cases

  • Draft legal pleadings, motions, and discovery documents

  • Manage and conduct depositions

  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and insurance companies

  • Draft and respond to discovery

  • Prepare trial notebooks and courtroom exhibits

  • Maintain calendaring, scheduling, and case status tracking

  • File court documents and manage case deadlines

  • Engage in ADR, trial preparation, and court appearances

Requirements

  • Active Bar license in Utah, Arizona, or Idaho (required based on location)

  • 1–3 years of litigation experience in personal injury or civil litigation

  • Trial and deposition experience

  • Familiarity with medical billing, records analysis, and damage summaries

  • Knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and ethics rules

  • Experience with legal research tools (Lexis, Westlaw)

  • Ability to travel for depositions, court appearances, or client meetings

  • Demonstrated commitment to high professional and ethical standards

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Bar in Utah, Arizona, or Idaho, depending on the position location

Skills

  • Strong legal writing, research, and negotiation skills

  • Effective oral advocacy and courtroom presence
