Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Class Action Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of experience to join its team in Milwaukee, WI. The attorney will manage a complex caseload of federal and state cases related to unfair business practices, consumer protection, and privacy statutes.

Duties

  • Handle state and federal class action cases at various stages.
  • Investigate, draft, and file litigation documents, including pleadings and motions.
  • Guide clients through the case process.
  • Interact with expert witnesses and prepare expert reports.
  • Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.

Requirements

  • Law degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing with the State Bar Association.
  • Minimum 2 years of class action experience, including trial and motions experience.
  • Exceptional research skills, particularly with Westlaw.
  • Clerkship experience preferred.
  • Law review experience preferred.
  • Excellent client service and communication skills.
  • Self-starter driven by long-term career goals.
  • Superior writing and oral advocacy skills with attention to detail.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership with the State Bar Association.

Skills

  • Strong research and analytical skills.

  • Ability to manage complex caseloads.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools like Westlaw.
