Associate Attorney (Litigation)

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in litigation for its Cincinnati, OH office. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in personal injury and professional liability defense, working alongside seasoned trial attorneys in a collaborative environment.

Duties

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and memoranda.
• Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery.
• Assist with case strategy, liability analysis, and exposure evaluation.
• Represent clients at depositions, hearings, and court proceedings.
• Support trial preparation, including witness preparation and exhibit coordination.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal team members.
• Prepare case reports, status updates, and legal correspondence.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Ohio Bar License (required).
• 3-5 years of litigation experience (insurance defense preferred).
• Experience with personal injury and/or professional liability matters.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage cases with appropriate supervision.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Professional, proactive, and team-oriented approach.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Ohio Bar License.
