Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Counsel with extensive experience in complex litigation and dispute resolution to join their team in Chicago, IL. This role involves managing a large docket of litigation and pre-litigation matters for a major technology client, coordinating operations, and leading a team of attorneys and non-attorneys.

Duties

• Drive and coordinate matter management and budgeting for litigation matters.
• Develop docket management strategies as case mixes evolve.
• Innovate workflows and team coordination, leveraging AI tools.
• Supervise operations management, including docketing and staffing.
• Manage data collection and deliver insights to client and firm teams.
• Communicate directly with clients and relationship partners.

Requirements

• 10+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience in managing complex civil cases and client interactions.
• Proficiency in litigation management platforms and AI tools.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

• Member of the State Bar of California, admitted in good standing.
