Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Resource Attorney for its Emerging Growth and Venture Capital practice in Chicago, IL. This role involves supporting the corporate resource strategy by developing practice assets, improving workflows, and leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and client service. The position offers flexibility for remote work.

Duties

  • Develop and update the corporate resource plan in partnership with practice leadership.
  • Create and maintain precedent collections, forms, and other practice content.
  • Communicate relevant legal and market developments promptly.
  • Analyze market trends and optimize the firm's experience database.
  • Enhance collaboration across attorneys and offices using communication tools.
  • Improve workflows and matter management processes with technology solutions.
  • Design and deliver training programs for the practice.
  • Draft client alerts and practice updates related to EGVC developments.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams to promote tools and resources.
  • Participate in practice meetings to share best practices.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Corporate attorney, ideally with Emerging Growth or Venture Capital experience.
  • Deep understanding of attorney workflows and resource needs in a corporate practice.
  • Advanced legal drafting and research skills with attention to detail.
  • Project management skills and ability to improve processes efficiently.
  • Interest in practice support, technology, and change management.
  • Familiarity with legal technologies, including document automation and AI tools, is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education

  • J.D.

Certifications

  • Admission to practice in the state in which you are officed.
