Senior Litigation Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a litigation associate with 4-6 years of experience to join their Portland, Oregon office. The ideal candidate will have experience in district court cases, ITC proceedings, or arbitration involving patents or trade secrets. The position offers flexible hybrid work arrangements.

Duties

• Represent clients in district court cases, ITC proceedings, or arbitration.
• Engage in IPRs or other post-grant patent proceedings.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft persuasive legal documents.
• Advocate effectively on behalf of clients.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of relevant litigation experience.
• Excellent academic credentials (top one-third of class preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Technical background and active patent bar registration preferred.
• Judicial clerkship experience, particularly at the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, is highly valued.
• Established presence or strong ties to the Portland area.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active patent bar registration preferred.
