This premier firm is one of the largest law firms in the region. It is a client-driven firm with over 300 attorneys. The firm has offices across the Midwest and spreading overseas. In response to starting salary increases in some parts of the country, this firm dramatically changed its approach to associate compensation, increasing salary structure and determining each associate's professional development toward partnership by the skills they develop and the work ethic and quality of work they demonstrate throughout their career, rather than on a lock-step, class-by-class basis. Associates who want to develop their practice skills more rapidly, can demonstrate a high quality of work and a large time commitment will be able to progress more rapidly. Salaries are commensurate with the local market in which they are employed.
